Wafa Bennani

President

Wafa Bennani is a registered nurse with a huge passion for uplifting and empowering disadvantaged communities. She is leading an active role in three organizations. 

 
Her passion to find solutions for the deplorable conditions of orphaned and abandoned children of Morocco led her to create programs to encourage and facilitate adoption by the Muslim American community since 2005.  She is the board president of New Beginnings Family and Children’s Services, a non-profit Hague accredited agency facilitating international adoption from several countries around the globe.  

 
She is also the president of the board of New Star Family Center in California supporting domestic violence survivors and foster care children. In 2005 she co-founded the Moroccan American California Association and ran an Orphan Sponsorship program for children living in Moroccan orphanages.  
She is a board member and medical committee chair of HMEMSA, Home of Moroccan Educators and Moroccan Students in America, leading medical mission to improve healthcare in Morocco.
