Lunar Year Party will start one hour later at 12:30pm!

Weather Alert!            Weather Alert!          Weather Alert!       Weather Alert!

We understand your concern about the inclement weather – we are concerned too!

According to Crystal Gardens, they have all intentions of opening for business on Saturday and expect that our private party will go on. At this time there are no alternative days available to reschedule. The weather advisory is claiming the storm should pass by Long Island by early afternoon. For this reason, we will have a delayed start time of 12:30 PM so that our families can dig out and travel safely.

If for any reason the restaurant closes, we will advise you via Face Book Saturday morning. Please check the Families of New Beginnings and Families with Children From China – Long Island Face Book pages.  You may also email one of the following coordinators for an update Saturday morning: Pauline at [email protected], Steve at [email protected], Mandee at [email protected] or Beth at [email protected]

Dear Families:

Weather permitting; we are expecting a great turnout for this Saturday’s Lunar New Year party at Crystal Garden.  With adoptive families from New Beginnings and FCCLI celebrating together we are bound to make new friends and as well as reacquaint with old friends. Together through cultural and fun experiences like this celebration, we are creating a community for our children to grow and flourish in.

Not only will there be a scrumptious feast, but fun family crafts for all and of course an entertaining Lion Dance starting promptly at 1:30.  This year ourLong Islandnewspaper, “Newsday” is featuring our Lunar New Year Event for the Sunday paper. How exciting!

The enthusiasm for this event has been so tremendous that we are sold out. In order to maintain safety standards we cannot exceed our current capacity. With this in mind, we have been asked to follow a few guidelines to assure a fun and safe experience for all:

  • Please take only one seat per person. We ask that you put your coats on chair backs and bags under your table.
  • Seating will be upon arrival on a first come-first served basis. If you plan to sit with another family, please arrange to arrive together. We will make every effort to seat you with your friends but you will have to wait for your full party to arrive before being seated.
  • If possible, please leave strollers in your car. High Chairs will be provided for toddlers.
  • Please stay with your child/children at all times. They will not be permitted to roam through the restaurant unattended.

Thank you for you consideration. Our utmost concern is for the safety of our children and our families. If we all follow these guidelines we are sure to have a wonderful time.

Please drive carefully and see you Saturday!

Your Friends at New Beginnings and FCCLI
